What is Optserve and removal instructions

Optserve is a an adware program that downloads from the Internet and displays commercial pop-up advertisements. It also collects some system information, records web browser history and transfers all this data to its home server. Optserve automatically runs on every Windows startup.

Optserve manual removal:

Kill processes:
lp.exe, optserve.exe
Delete registry values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\LP
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\optserve
Delete files:
lp.exe, optserve.exe, lp.dll, optserve.dll
Misc:
Optserve files reside in default system directory, which is one of the following: C:\WINDOWS\System, C:\WINDOWS\System32, C:\WINNT\System32.
